Trash is 鈥渋n鈥 at 每日大赛入口 University鈥檚 eighth annual Trashion Show.
Free and open to the public, the event takes place Wednesday [Nov. 9] at 7 p.m. in Giles Hall.
The National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS), in collaboration with MSU fashion design and merchandising students, will work to design custom outfits made of recycled goods and modeled by MSU鈥檚 Fashion Board.
The event鈥檚 theme, 鈥淒iametric Parallels,鈥 encourages designers to discover something common between two seemingly opposite materials.
Past creations have been assembled from bottle caps, straws, soda cans, newspaper, playing cards and more.
鈥淚t鈥檚 a creative look at design elements with the incorporation of unconventional materials that promote sustainability,鈥 said Diondria Bingham, senior architecture major from Pearl who is serving as NOMAS president.
